Become a Trip Volunteer

UCP Wheels for Humanity brings trained professionals to custom fit our donated wheelchairs to each recipient.  We are always looking for new qualified volunteers interested in helping to make a change.

Volunteers pay their own expenses and are encouraged to look for sponsors.  Many of our current volunteers are sponsored by employers, religious affiliates, friends and family.  Every trip is different and will incur different costs. 
 
UCP Wheels generally ships a 40 foot ocean container containing 175 wheelchairs of various types and hundreds of pieces of ambulatory aid equipment including walkers, crutches and physical therapy equipment.  A general distribution will last for 5 working days, Monday-Friday.
 
Our goal is to have a team of four qualified professionals on each trip.  A staff member will accompany every distribution to handle all logistics and ensure a smooth and successful trip.
 
Due to international customs and varying shipping times exact dates are generally not set for a distribution until 30 days ahead of time.

We suggest that you contact us approximately 60 days before the distribution that you are interested in joining.
